A Compassionate Safe Place to help you navigate life's rough waters
You are amazing just for visiting this site, that itself shows you want something to change.
As we journey through life, it’s common to experience obstacles that challenge us along the way. We may encounter difficulties we want to overcome or we are looking for new skills to improve our voyage, I believe that personalized and compassionate support can help. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow.
A little bit about me, I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). I received my bachelor’s degree from UMass Boston and went-on to receive my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, with a concentration in Family and Forensics.
My passions include my family, adventures, and travel. Oh yeah, throw in animals, sports, cooking and Disney as well.
As a Midwest girl now living in Florida, my original professional pursuit in life was Meteorology (yep weather) but having lived all over the country and sharing experiences with so many people both personally and professionally, I realized that most of us are just trying to make it through the day.
This in-turn formed another love….counseling.
My early counseling years were spent working with those incarcerated, providing individual counseling with both students and families at a local university, counseling for several rehabilitative treatment centers as well as providing support for a diverse population through a local non-profit.
I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety, marital, family and parenting issues, as well as motivation, self-esteem, and sports performance to name a few. I have extensive work with care-giver stress and fatigue, traumas, and addictions.
I am the right counselor for you if you are willing to try; things can change if you want it. Just like everyone, I too have my limitations…I can’t solve your problems alone, but we can work on goals together for change, I also can’t give you the winning lottery numbers, or wave a magic wand that makes all your problems immediately go away. However, I will be your cheerleader, your support, and the person who is ready to take this step with you.
Congratulations on taking the first step and reaching out.
